“Every human being is worth more than the worst thing they’ve ever done. All life has dignity, innocent and guilty life too”

Compassion, Hard Work, Perseverance and Gratitude

Born and raised in New York, my criminal defense practice embraces the people, diversity, and culture of this great city. My legal career encompasses a three-decade commitment to criminal justice, litigation and trials. The reason I founded the Rosenberg Law Office is to protect people’s rights, freedom and dignity in their time of need. My law practice is dedicated to the strategic defense of individuals in state or federal cases charged with complex and serious criminal offenses.

I have successfully defended individuals in a wide range of criminal matters including murder, assault, narcotics, robbery, fraud, tax evasion, domestic violence, driving while intoxicated, larceny, sex offenses, domestic violence, and cases that have potentially serious collateral consequences, such as deportation. In post-conviction matters, I have successfully litigated cases involving vacating judgments of convictions and parole violation hearings.

Before founding the Rosenberg Law Office, I started my journey in law as an Assistant District Attorney for the Queens County District Attorney’s Office. As a prosecutor, I investigated and prosecuted hundreds of felony and misdemeanor cases in a wide range of offenses. Upon my promotion to a special task force narcotics team, I litigated serious drug related charges.

Following my tenure at the District Attorney’s Office, I continued my career in public service with the New York City Trials and Litigation Division. In this position, I investigated and prosecuted correction officers for abusing prisoners, including the inhumane use of excessive force, failure to provide necessary and prompt medical attention, and other serious violations.

In a judicial capacity, I was appointed to the position of Hearing Officer at the Office of Administrative Trials and Hearings. My service included making important decisions in a variety of cases that impacted on the public safety, health and welfare of the people in New York.

After gaining years of experience in the public sector, I moved to a prestigious mid-sized boutique law firm because it had a civil rights practice, which aligned with my interest in focusing on excessive force, prisoner rights, wrongful convictions, and other civil rights cases. In 1992, I founded the Rosenberg Law Office.

Throughout my longstanding career in defending people accused of serious crimes, I will always be humbled by the faith and hope that clients place in me to protect their rights, freedom and lives. For this profound responsibility and trust, I am grateful to them.

I am a member of the New York State Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the New York Criminal Bar Association, the New York County Lawyers Association, and the New York State Defenders Association.
